Jin You
President
In the spirit of humility, he embraces the wisdom of Confucius: '千里之行,始于足下' (A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step). Committed to fostering unity and diversity, he believes that progress starts with the humble recognition of our individual roles in the journey towards goals.
Joey Chen
Treasurer
Treasurer since 2012 with ICO. Joey is a licensed CPA, with focus on financial accountability and stability. She’s passionate about promoting Chinese culture and preserving our heritage in our local community.
Catherine Bai
Secretary
Founder of the annual Lunar New Year art competition. She is passionate about communicating Chinese culture through various art forms as well as building partnerships with others to promote cultural events. She is a staff member of City of Boise.
Candy Hua
Communications/Social Media
A PMP certified Program Manager in the tech industry, prioritizes community involvement. In her free time, she actively contributes to the local community in Idaho. Additionally, she is an enthusiast of yoga and skiing.
Yong Gao
A college professor specializing in statistics and measurement, conducting research focused on health and human movement, is also passionate about community service and animal rescue. Yong is dedicated to advocating for those who lack a voice.
Dazhi Yang
Board Member
A professor at Boise State University. She considers it a privilege in collaborating with students and individuals from diverse backgrounds. Both her professional practice and service are deeply rooted in community involvement and societal impact. She also serves as the principal of the Boise Modern Chinese School.
Lifang Xu
Board Member
Dr. Xu is passionate in promoting Chinese culture, fostering community diversity and inclusion with the Idaho Chinese Organization and Boise Modern chinese school, while advancing cutting-edge memory chip development at Micron Technology as an engineer manager.
Meichun Lin
Education Program
She is a dedicated high school Mandarin teacher in Boise. Also a beginning learner of French. Outside of work, Meichun finds solace in listening to audiobooks amidst the tranquility of her gardening work or admiring the wonders of nature during outdoor explorations.
Adam Li
Mandarin Teacher at Renaissance High School. Love sharing language and
culture to people around him. Actively involved in ICO to help local community. Love hiking, singing, reading and volleyball. Idaho Teacher of the Year for Languages 2024.
Yaohua Zhang
Board Member/Photographer
A statistician with a love for unraveling data patterns. When she's not crunching numbers, you'll find her exploring the world with camera in hand, capturing moments that inspire. She's dedicated to showcasing the vibrant and optimistic spirit of the Chinese community in Boise.
John Huang
Board Member
John is a credentialled Health Actuary specializing in Commercial Health Insurance Pricing and is an active member of American Academy of Actuaries. He is passionate about pure math, skiing, and mountain biking. He has served as a board member of ICO since 2020.
Xingrong Li
Volunteer Program
Xingrong has lived in Idaho since 2005. She loves the beauty of this state. Whether hiking, rafting or camping in the summer or skiing, ice fishing and snow camping in the winter, She tries to take full advantage of the amazing outdoor opportunities in Idaho!
John Doe
Libang Zhang
A professional artist, with a wealth of experience in his craft. Alongside his role as an art teacher at the Chinese school, he has also contributed to the community by designing the logo for the museum's Chinese New Year events. Currently, he is focused on achieving his goal of becoming a professional tattoo artist
Nian Zhan

With a stem background and two decades of residency experience in Idaho, she dedicates to cultural exchange and support for community engagement and collaboration . She is passionate about art and crafts and hiking outdoors.

Volunteer Program
She is a professional specializing in intellectual property at a law firm. she is passionate about both Eastern and Western calligraphy art and culinary skills. She sincerely hopes to contribute her efforts to community service.
